Shox technology was originally designed to absorb more ground impact force, and the history of making the midsole produce elastic support can be traced back to 1984; After witnessing the indoor track "tuned" of Harvard University, the designer observed the surface of the track, as if it absorbed the energy generated by the impact from the runner and then fed back the energy to every step of the runner. It is these six flexible runways that improve the performance of runners by up to 3%, and also help them reduce the number of injuries in sports.  After in-depth research on the ideal state of energy recycling during running, the track was built in early years, with a wooden top covered with polyurethane. Providing too much cushioning will waste energy on the runway, while the leg muscles cannot release enough energy if the cushioning is insufficient. Although the track cannot win any race, it seems that athletes can benefit from it; This brings designers great inspiration. After more than 6 years of testing, the elasticity and supportability could not be balanced; The designer then abandoned the spring and tested a kind of foam hollow column structure with cheap shox shoes for women integrated molding - finally, they successfully combined it with the TPU heel to meet the supportability of four polyurethane foam hollow columns, which is what we now call Shox Technology. Sixteen years after the idea was born, the technology was published and named Shox.

The SHOX NZ sports shoes reproduce the classic SHOX air column technology of the year, using high-density PU foam column to replace the real spring, which can well absorb the impact and transform it into kinetic energy.
